In late September 2023 the witness brought his wife, daughter and two dogs to show where the earlier events occurred. The woods felt silent again and one dog refused to leave the vehicle while the other stayed oddly quiet. His wife and daughter said they saw a beagle and a companion with black boots fifteen yards away, but nothing was there seconds later, and a fallen log blocked the exit road despite calm wind.
