Scream near Houghton Lake, Michigan (2001)
Account
The guest described camping alone in a clearing after a day of bird hunting. In the middle of the night he woke to very loud shrieking screams from the treeline, then heard two distinct voices calling back and forth and a third much deeper voice that answered periodically with howl-like calls ending in gibberish, continuing for close to an hour. He stayed in the tent until daylight, left, then returned on foot and found a line of large five-toed tracks without claws that changed from full footprints to half-tracks with a much longer stride before stopping at a fork, which he later concluded matched Sasquatch vocalizations and foot mechanics he researched.
