Three days after the eyeshine, the witness took two children and a partner to the same area in daylight. They followed four footprints on a game trail and made a cast. While cutting through woods before dark, the witness and child saw a five-and-a-half-foot jet-black figure cross twenty yards ahead, drop to all fours without breaking stride, and run uphill. The other two heard but did not see it.
