At sunset while sitting by a campfire, the witness and a companion watched a man-like figure approach a distant deer salt lick, pull it from the ground and throw it before staring at them. A relative came outside and fired a small-caliber rifle at the figure, which stood unmoved, made a whining sound, and walked back into the woods. The next morning the pair found the salt lick displaced with its cement base out of a deep hole.
