A family hiking uphill in a national park area smelled a strong pungent odor and heard loud repeated vocalizations that seemed to follow them. While briefly off the trail, the main witness saw a very tall, dark-haired, human-like figure walk between trees and watch the family. The family continued uphill without further sounds or sightings and later reported the experience to park staff.
