The witness walked alone to a creek near the camp in the afternoon. Across the creek they smelled a strong foul, musky odor and saw a huge dark-brown animal over seven feet tall splashing in the water. When the animal noticed the witness and moved into the water, the witness ran back up the trail without looking back and later told others at camp.
