Campers hear possible vocalization just outside their tent in Mt. Hood National Forest

The witness and a companion were sleeping in a tent at a forested campground near a river. At dawn they were awakened by three very loud, very low-pitched, human-sounding grunts from just outside the tent, described as close enough to vibrate the witness's diaphragm and originating above tent height. Cooking gear and plates with food residue left out on the picnic table were undisturbed.

An investigator interviewed the witness by phone for about an hour and analyzed the campground layout and topography, concluding the couple was likely visited by a large sasquatch.
