Couple hears unknown howl, later finds possible deformed track
Account
The witness and a companion were hunting and walking near Salmonberry Road at dawn when they heard an unfamiliar loud howl or moan. About half a mile up a logging road they found a five-toed track about the length of a size-12 boot that looked deformed. The woods became unusually silent, the witness felt watched, and they heard two faint chirps described as not from a bird. No odor was noticed.
