The witness and a relative were scouting in dense mountain forest when they stopped for lunch in a small clearing. They heard loud twig snaps and branch breaks moving around them, then the relative fired a handgun into the air. A loud low-to-high roar and repeated screams followed as they fled downhill back to the house, without ever seeing the source.
