The witness was staying alone at a small cabin to write for work and watch a deer feeder that had been raided. One morning he saw a large hairy figure feeding by the feeder about 30 yards away, first mistaking it for a bear then for a hunter in a ghillie suit. The figure stood up revealing great height and mass, then walked to a barbed-wire fence, straddled it, and left. He told no one for years, compartmentalizing the experience until it resurfaced after a later trip.
