Man recalls sighting a creature as a child near Drain
Account
The witness was pushing a bicycle uphill near home when movement at the top of a sandstone cutbank caught attention. A gray furry figure was kneeling there parting brush with its hands and gazing with apparent curiosity, showing a blocky square head, dark beard-like tufts around the mouth and paler fur on the cheeks. The witness judged it a juvenile just over five feet tall and heavy, was badly frightened, and thereafter passed the spot quickly.
