Tracks, sounds in brush and an awful odor reported by gold panners
Account
The witness and a companion were driving while looking for creeks to gold pan when they noticed two large tracks in snow in the middle of the road. After driving to the end of the road and attempting to turn around, they heard sticks breaking and loud walking in thick brush above them. They then heard a growl from near a creek and smelled a rotten-trash odor before leaving the area.
