Animal behaviour near Lenox, Massachusetts (2005)
Account
While on an early morning walk out of the village into woods, the witness suddenly smelled a strong old wet dog odor and felt primordial terror, sensing something just inside the treeline to the left. No footsteps, leaf crunch or twig snaps were heard. The witness crossed the road and made it back without looking behind.
