Sasquatch sighting in Connecticut (1960)
Account
Firefighters were called for a small monkey-like animal stuck high in a tree that was assumed to be an escaped pet. The animal bit a firefighter on the hand and was described as between a monkey and a bear, about the size of a baby bear. The official paperwork called it a monkey with a tail, though the teller says no tail was actually seen, and the final disposition was unclear.
