A bicyclist riding home late at night heard a noise by a dumpster behind a shed and saw a short stocky dark bipedal figure. The figure turned and walked into thin woods toward a cornfield, and the rider fled home to tell a companion. The companion checked the site minutes later but found only a trapped raccoon in the dumpster.

The companion biked to the site minutes later, shone a light around the fence and dumpster, and found only a trapped raccoon which was helped out.
A companion created an illustration of the reported creature over a darkened photo of the location based on the witness description.
An investigator spoke by phone with both the witness and the submitter and reviewed a satellite map showing large woods adjoining the site.
