Unidentified sound in California (2017)
Account
While visiting Yosemite with friends, the witness walked back early from a nighttime stargazing talk at Glacier Point toward the parking lot and restrooms. The group heard banging on chains and then a deep growl in the quiet, prompting them to run to the car. Once in the car the witness concluded the sounds were not a bear or mountain lion and offered a song toward the area.
