Sasquatch sighting in California (1970)
Account
The witness and a companion backpacked about a mile from a logging road to the Patterson-Gimlin film site at Bluff Creek during spring break. After days of silence, they camped near a sandbar and at night a heavy animal approached; the witness shone a light and saw red eyes about eight feet up, then the creature circled out of sight for about 45 minutes and threw a face-sized rock toward them. The next morning they found large depressions, then hiked out along the creek feeling followed, later hearing a loud crash and a low gurgling whistle near the logging-road spur.
