Late Arriving Campers Hear Running, Stomping, Shrieking, Howling
Account
Three people laid out sleeping bags to camp overnight near a spring. Within minutes they heard nearby rustling, loud stomping, and prolonged shrieking and howling lasting about 20 minutes without seeing the source. The source then moved rapidly up a hillside while continuing to vocalize for at least another 10 minutes. The group eventually fell asleep and found no tracks during a brief morning search.
