At age seven or eight staying overnight at his grandparents' farmhouse, the witness sat up on a couch around three in the morning needing the outhouse and saw a large dark silhouette standing by an evergreen about a hundred yards down the hill. Backlit by the moon, it tilted its head when he tilted his, showing a pointed crested head. He stayed inside until morning, then found the tree was six and a half to seven feet tall with the figure's head well above it, and later found hair high on a spiny locust tree.
