Tracks near Avenger, Texas
Account
After shooting a water moccasin and later tossing it into a dry hog wallow, the witness and his son returned the next day to find the dead snake moved about three feet and placed right-side-up on a ledge. Beside the original mud impression they found what looked like a barefoot heel and side-of-foot print. They photographed it with a dollar bill for scale.
