While carrying recording gear in misty late-evening light, the witness noticed movement and saw a figure trying to hide behind a tree. After stepping on a branch, it looked at the witness, pushed off the tree, dropped to all fours, and left at high speed while breaking brush. Another investigator searched with a thermal but did not pursue.
